Welcoming Week 2019
Fargo - Moorhead - West Fargo
What is Welcoming Week?
During this annual series of events, communities bring people together in a spirit of unity to build strong connections and affirm the benefits of welcoming everyone: immigrants, refugees, New Americans, neighbors, students.... Everyone!
In 2018, there were over 2,000 events in 400 communities during Welcoming Week, with more than 80,000 people participating.
We are part of a global movement that recognizes welcoming communities make us stronger economically, socially, and culturally.

How can I take part in Welcoming Week FM?
A local coordinating committee, WelcomingFM, is comprised of representatives from several area organizations. Representatives from local business, schools, libraries, and police departments join with organizations including Cultural Diversity Resources, New American Consortium for Wellness & Empowerment, YMCA, the Fargo Human Relations Commission, Plains Art Museum, and the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County to create a series of events highlighting and promoting the wonderful diversity in our Red River Valley neighborhoods.
In the past, WelcomingFM has included pool parties, community potlucks, job fairs, circle dialogues, museum trips, and lecture series. Nearly all of these events are free and open to the public.
